Good reading habits

I have relatively decent reading habits. Finish about a book every month or so. But, I still have an awful lot of free time and not much to do (or I'm just generally lazy to do anything productive/requires any effort). Reading is something that I actually enjoy, and would like to develop a stronger habit.

Any tips? How do yous maintain a good reading habit? Does it require spending less time lounging around on internet forums?

You still cannot beat being so immersed in a story that you are hoping will go on forever but can't wait to finish.

I can read any amount of books but still cant get the hang of reading from the screen.

My reading habits are disgraceful.  I've got 5 books on the go at the moment - the best one being The Liar by the legend Stephen Fry.

Dunno why I always start another before I've finished one but it's definitely not good.  The stories all get mixed up together and I forget which book I'm reading.
