Cajun
3 Men go to a hotel and book a room, it costs £30 so they pay £10 each. Later the hotel manager realises he has overcharged and the room should have been £25 so he sends the bell boy to give the men their change. The bell boy can't be bothered to work out the change so gives the men a pound each and keeps £2 for himself. The men have paid £9 each (x 3 = £27) and the bell boy kept £2 (total = £29). Where has the other pound gone?
Chrissy Bee
This is easily the third time this has been posted. The men have paid £9 each (x 3 = £27), the bell boy kept the £2 he owed them (£27 - £2 = £25). The question is merely a trick.
Cajun
Never seen it before Considering how much time on here I assume it must have had a really boring title the last few times
Guest lankybellwipe
This is easily the third time this has been posted. Yes, memory jogged! Ans someone started getting very irate that no one was providing the answers, and that it was basically a bollocks trick question
Coxaux
You were one of the men and gave the bell boy one for a knock down fee?
GG
Each man has paid £9 inc. the bellboy's £2 tip, they get £1 back. 9x3 = 27, they have £3 each in their pocket .

(£5 remaining) Bellboy takes £2. (£3 remaning) They all take £1 each. It works, it's just worded like a bitch.

GG
The £2 is included in the £27 so is irrelevant, the £29 is from nowhere. They've paid £27 of which the bell boy has £2. They walk off with a £1 each in their pocket. 27 + 3 = 30. It all works. :frantic:
