Is Crumpy starting all these threads to get some free publicity for www.toonaway.co.uk ?

Of course.

But, Ashley might be doing too much too soon. I know for a fact the box office staff are  WELL pissed off at the way things are going.  They'll be absolutely delighted when this one kicks in.

If you can't go to a home game (as an ST holder) it is anh exchange to allow you to formally sell your seat for the game to soemone else.  There was an advert for it in the club magazine

Would have thought it'd be pretty easily done online - say log in and just register your ST/membership number as saying you're unavailable for a particular match, they'll just sell it then as normal (making extra money I imagine, as they'll sell it at full price) and pass on to you the cost it would have been to you. You get your money back for not going, they make the extra £7 or whatever, and someone hopefully attends the game instead of the seat remaining empty. Makes sense I suppose.

How they pass you back the money is the question.

Pretty much as I guessed: http://www.nufc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/SeatExchange/0,,10278,00.html

They send you a cheque btw.

Sounds good. If it's implemented properly.

Get a Barclaycard, buy about 4 season tickets, sell them all through this.

Upshot - £2,000 loan interest free.

Put the money in a high-interest account.

:undecided:

Call me stoopid, but it seems to me that would be entirely pointless.

Not really if it's 12 months interest free, you could make a couple of hundred quid profit.

I'd like to call you stoopid O0, but no, it does appear very pointless to me as well.

You will need to run the numbers on how that works to me as I appear to be very stoopid!

I'm not working it out exactly as banks do there interst montly generally but.  You buy the tickets, sell themf or face value.  You have 2000.  If the card is 12 months interest free, whack it in a high interest savings account with about 7% apr.  You get the 7% apr which will be more than 140 as I can't be arsed to work out the cumulative interest.

EDIT:

Use the 2k to pay off the card after 12 months or whatever it is.

It's interest free for the life of the balance.

But either way...

a) It'll cost you £2K initially, so it's hardly a loan.

2) They only pay 1/19th of the season ticket value minus costs, so you'll get less back.

III) What goes in the bank?  Won't you need the money from ticket sales to pay off the credit card?
