After seeing Usain Bolt absolutely blitz this year's Olympics and I'm sure people can quite rightly rank his achievements as some of their favourite sporting moments of all time. Obviously we know one of my choices, but I thought it would be good to see what other people might post as well. I'm talking about in my own lifetime btw.

As far as the Olympics go:

Christie winning 100m in Barcelona 92.

I was only 10 and it was one of my first memories of the Olympics, plus that Barcelona song sung by Freddie Mercury was mint and the opening ceremony where that Archer fired a burning arrow to light the flame!

I was into the NBA for a while back in the 90's (something to do with the fact I found I could hit three pointers one after the other with ease for the school basketball team, I swear I hit about 10 in a row in practice once) anyways, Mike will know this, who was the small white guy who used to play for Utah, john somebody he was mint at 3 pointers and assists and I used to model myself on him only I was taller.

Utah had two good white players back in the day. Everyone remembers Stockton, but Jeff Hornacek was a monster too.

No video of it, but Don Beebe taking the ball away from Leon Lett in the Super Bowl. I think we were already down 150-3 at that point, but Beebe never ever stopped playing hard. I can't even describe the affection I still feel for that guy. Made me a Packer fan for a night when he got back to the big game with them. Delighted he has a ring, even if it wasn't with us.

Awesome fight!

I was going to include that.  Looking back Eubank was involved in some of the best fights this country will ever see.  He still probably isn't appreciated in that way.

The fights against Benn, Watson ( :( ) & particularly Collins were fantastic.

Collins aggresive style in that second fight (I think) was fantastic, completely bamboozled Eubank.

Yep I've seen the video of that, it was immense.

I also remember jeff Hornacek being class too, still got NBA 96 on the MegaDrive II, used to play as Utah all the time.

The rest of that 52-17 rout would be on my list.   :coolsmiley:
