pedro111
About £40 would do it easy I reckon.
Chrissy Bee
Work out how many mpg your car tend to does. Use google maps to figure out the distance. From that work out how many gallons you'll use. Find the cost of fuel per litre and convert it into gallons (it's about 4.54 litres to the gallon, so if you're paying 106p/litre, that's £4.81 a gallon). Multiply that cost by how many gallons you expect to use on the journey. That's your cost.
pedro111
Dont forget, your speed will alter the cost significantly. If I really want to make my fuel go far I cruise at about 60 on motorways.

Wullie
I'm not sure £40 would do it. I used to do Crewe - Newcastle and back fairly regular a couple of year ago in a Micra 1.3l and it was probably about that then, maybe a bit more, petrol was a good 15p cheaper then too. Mind, I did usually do it canny fast.

GM
Try using: http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/petrol-bills-calculator It's set up for annual mileage calculation but you could use it for single journey calculation so long as you know the total mileage which you can get from Google Maps, Multimap or AA/RAC website. pedro111
I drove to Edinburgh airport and back last week and I filled my tank up costing £45 in my Corsa 1.2. It was about 260 miles there and back and I still had over a quarter of a tank left. Was pleasantly surprised tbh.
