Decky
Members of Prince Charles’s inner circle are preparing the ground for him to break the monarch’s traditional vow of silence when he is king........ http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/article5162710.ece Just added a poll aswell to spark abit of debate about the point of the Royal Family. If maybe in this day and age, the UK ready for a president rather than a PM and Monarch?
James
To be fair, the two things Charles has mostly been lobbying about over the years: youth society and the environment have turned out to be pretty spot on assessments.

Guest LucaAltieri
He's the perfect example of the well-meaning moron. For all his heart's in the right place he's all for homeopathy, organic food, and a boat load of other bunk. Clearly just a hippie monarch.

LoveItIfWeBeatU
It's a shame we can't sell the Royal family to Disney. I always laugh when royalists say "Prince Charles doesn't take any money from the Civil List". No he just owns Cornwall via his inheritance (His ancestors stole it from the people). He doesn't need any more money.
GM
Its a good job Prince Charles grew up on an Inner City council estate, and knows what hes talking about then. Is that the sole criterion required to know what one is talking about, then?

Northerngimp
If he wants to lead the country he should lead by example and get stuck in. Stop shaking hands with over excited biddies and giving hand jobs to butlers.

Haz
He states he wants to be the Defender of ALL Faiths. How can he do this as the head of the Church of England? I assume he is talking about sucking up to muslims as he has done in the past. He's barking up the wrong tree - or merely barking. There are less and less British people going to church. Concentrate on heling and developing those that need it you wingnut.

Quite true Pedro, but lets hope Charles puts his foot in it less than Bush! Aye! Anyway, what is he going to be? King Charles the III is it? not necessarily - in the past Kings ( a bit like Popes) often choose another one of their many names for the main job - in the past there have been suggestions that Charles 1 & 2 weren't greta successes so he might become George 8th. He's actually Charles Philip Arthur George

I dont know mate, his mam could kick the bucket tomorrow and he would be made king at 60 years old. Could easily be king for 20, 30 or at a real push even 40 years. Guest Howaythetoon
I think he's canny myself and he came over quite well in that Charles at 60 documentary, certainly as a caring and hard working Royal who misguided or not has tried and actually succeeded in many areas of social and community work. I speak from experience having personally benefited from the Prince's Trust. There would be no N.O if it weren't for Prince Charles as the £2,500 I got off his organisation a while back helped me to buy my computer (for my start-up business) where upon searching for Toon news I found a website called Nufc.nu which I subsequently joined and later took over, paying 500 quid for it as the owner/admin was struggling to keep it going (even back then it was very popular, over 1,000 members) and lacked the skills to take it forward. That site become Howaythetoon wich merged with Toontastic to become N.O I also 100% share his views on buildings and housing and the impact they can have on the environment of our communities which I've long held as major factors in anti-socialism, crime and poverty. You just have to look at Scotswood where I grew up which is torn down almost, how can that inspire a community and people? You are a product of your environment they say...
