For Pie.  I'd go to redhouse on the quayside for some pie and mash.

Redhouse or Waiting Room for pies if you want a sit down meal.

Pink Lane bakery will probably do fancy sausage rolls.

Perfect, thanks lads

Anyone have recs for a non-Greggs sausage roll or pie in or around the city centre?

Pork & Pancetta Sausage Roll from Pink Lane Bakery is glorious. Absolutely glorious.

Not wanting to go all Piers Morgan but I had a vegan sausage roll from Greggs last week as it was all they had left and I'd heard you could hardly tell the difference. Wew, that shit is absolutely vile.

What’s the best italian restaurant in city centre?

I really like panis and Uno's for city centre. Was spolit living on the doorstep of Mascalzone in Sandyford though.

Pink Lane Bakery sausage rolls are fantastic. Would recommend highly. They also do vegan ones which are really good too - made from miso, mushroom, nuts etc.

Pure Knead Bakery from Whitley have just opened on Dean Street and they do decent ones too.

I prefer the vegan ones to the real ones.

I honestly don't think they taste that different. Not the 'sausage' anyway. The pastry is better on the proper ones IMO but otherwise they're both equally shite.

Was in the Grainger Market the other day and there's a Cuban streetfood place opened. Was already a bit full so only had a sweet potato empanada which was canny like.

What's people's favourite Indian in town? And if you're going for something a bit nicer, where would you go?

My Delhi or Dabbawal, hands down!

Ury on Queen Street is pretty good. Also agree about My Delhi.
