Ash
Think my laptop's on the blink. Like the look of this one, along with this. Not sure which to opt for.

Belfast Boy
The wife is looking for a laptop mainly just to browse the net at home. Whats the lowest price I should be looking at?
Dr. TC
Just looking through the specs they look good except for the screen resolution - 1280x800 won't give you that much 'desktop real-estate', don't know if I could put up with it. at 15.4 inch you should be looking for at least 1440 and preferably 1680 vertical pixels. ChrisJbarnes
anyone know what sort of laptop i should get for uni? apparently others have said minimum 2GB ram, and need about 150GB hard drive. other than that, i have no idea what i need to look for. this one any good? http://www.ebuyer.com/product/150658 oh and anyone else looking, ebuyer seems very cheap. My lappy is 1920 x 1200 on a 17" and its too much, and too little in terms of what's displayed. Had to force myself back to 1050 from 1200, not looking anywhere near as crisp, but certainly the right size for a 17" My dad's got a 15.4" lappy and his 1440x900 is good enough for the size, especially if no gaming is involved, but got to say 8800GTX on a 17" 1920 x 1200 really is amazing. Dr. TC
i've got 1920x1200 on a 17" as well - thought it was too much at first but used to it now. Before this i had 1680x1050 on a 15.4 and that was certainly the sweet spot for me. 1280x800 just wouldn't cut it.
