Did anyone play knock-a-door-run when they were a young scamp?

Or even the vicious type where you put an empty milk bottle on the door handle before knocking?

Aye, I'm 19 and still do it.

KKND...Knocky Knocky Nine Doors, ****ing mexcellent.

My mate from Yorkshire said they used to call it "knock down Ginger" (no idea why). In Brum it was called Thunder and Lightning.

KKND has quite a good ring to it, mind.

"Knocky door neighbour" man.

let's see, 16million doors give or take.  I'd say the distance between streets, towns and cities would mean your average doors are about 20 metres apart.

320 million metres = 320,000km

Average walking speed is 4km an hour

80,000 hours = 3333 days.

9 and a bit years seems a bit long.

I'll do it later.

Then you have to remember the vast amounts of space that can be between different villages and towns etc.. it would take fucking ages man.. I think 9 and a half years wouldn't be long enough imo..

In a street of terraced houses the doors are right next to each other though.  I factored that distance in by saying the average distance was 20metres.

You might have a point in that you'd have to do a lot of going back on yourself, covering the same ground over and over.  You'd do well to plan a route that avoided that.

Yeah but what about apartment blocks where you just have a bank of intercom buzzer things. You could theoretically do 100 in a minute.

Although you'd also need to factor in time spent getting caught by angry residents and having beatings dished out to you.
