Famous excuse from the tennants I assume?

Fact is that you can never quite tell with the SLC, they can be very unreliable.

you guessed it, hardly any of them have paid.

what goes orund comes around though, i was exactly the same as a student.

Got mine today, then realised all of the actual loan part of my financial support is paid on my rent. Yay.

And not a lot of other support. Job required pronto!

I worked it that the total amount of my loan for the year is less than the total amount of rent I pay.

Thankfully I have a rather generous father.

How big are the loans these days? When I was an undergraduate I'd get £3000 a year but have to pay £1150 a year on tuition fees, and the rest on rent, working it off at Sainsburys every holiday, fucking my revision.

Checked with SLC the other day and the rate for the student loan is great really, I have about £2000 and really have fuck all interest to pay every year according to the guy on the phone, so not gonna bother anytime soon.

You'd be surprised about the interest. It is about £1000 a year after you leave if you aren't paying it off. Still haven't started paying it off yet even though I'm earning but I'd imagine what I'm getting this year will offset it in the long run.
