MidfieldGeneral
My new pc has that bloody thing enabled where it records everything you search for, which is no use to me when I'm not the only one who uses it lol. How do I switch this off ? I'm running Vista, I know when I was on XP it used to give you the option to switch this off after your first search but I've not had that option come up. Dave
Dunno then pal, sorry. Thought you just wanted to find a way to clear it rather than just turn the option off. I'd recommend that program anyway btw.
MidfieldGeneral
No bother mate, cheers for your help anyway. I've book marked the ccleaner page so if I dont have any joy with auto complete then I might use that as a last resort.
Decky
Not sure if this will work, but it should. Before you do it get CCleaner and use it as you will need to get rid of what is already there. This is to just stop it happening in future. After you have used CCleaner to get rid of your cookies, go here: http://www.google.com/webhp?complete=0 Go to preferences and Query Suggestions, click to turn them off, go to save peferences, and thats it. Use this website: http://www.google.com/webhp?complete=0 Instead of google.co.uk and it should no longer save your info. Google.com MIGHT work. Also this might only work with Internet Explorer, worked for me there now on it but not on Firefox, but i havent deleted my cookies yet mind. Have a go.
