Out of contract in about a month or so, been with T-Mobile for donkey's years (1996!!), but prepared to jump-ship in order to get a nice phone (I'll just switch my number over). Prepared to consider any make, but I've got a general preference for Sony-Ericsson and a general dislike of Nokias. Don't make a huge amount of calls and/or texts, but use t'internet a lot and want a proper browser and an unlimited deal (3G a necessity), decent size screen's important too. Are i-phones actually any good?

That's about it, recommend away.

Ta.

Quite fancy one of these myself. Looks sleek - but then I saw reviews had been a bit scathing so not so sure anymore.

Long overdue an upgrade - and paying way over the odds with T-Mobile for my shoddy N95 and even shoddier network coverage. Mind, web'n'walk has been handy and quite nicely priced...

...may still go to Orange though. Just waiting for a decent handset to become available. Was also toying with the Google phone from T-Mobile...just not sure. Nothing out there really grabs me anymore.

iPhone, hands down.

Even considering I already have a 160gb iPod and would have to change to O2, pay more for a worse tariff and shell out at least £100 for the phone!?!

The fact that you've got an iPod really doesn't matter at all.

The iPhone is simply brilliant when it comes to browsing, by far the best internet phone on the market. If you don't text a lot, and don't mind the craptastic camera, then iPhone is the phone you want.

That looks pretty good, free on Orange.

What about this bad-boy, similar monthly to an iPhone and £20-25 cheaper to buy.

Or in fact for free if I sign a 24month contract. Hmmm...

I love how you're searching for something similar to the iPhone, it won't work. My brother tried this with the HTC Touch Diamond. He has had it for 4 months and hates it. My iPhone is amazing and when the law is passed, I will marry her.

Don't try and fight it. Think different.

Where is the best place to get a mobile phone online, thinking of getting back into the real world and getting a contract mobile again.

Also whats a good phone? All I will ever use it for is texting and maybe a bit of web browsing. Decent camera would be nice and I would prefer it to be as small as possible.

It does what I need (and more), will be the same I spend at the moment and I will get more texts, call time, internet etc..

As long as I ignore all the other MUCH better deals around then I am perfectly happy.

My girlfriend is on Vodafone so I know the network coverage is alright around these parts. Someone told me they are expensive but the deal looks pretty good to me. I haven't been on contract for about 8 years though :D

As said above, I am basically paying the same I do now but I get a lot better phone (for free) and I never have to worry about running out of texts and can use the internet whenever I want.
