Guest hindu times
Hi. I'm writing this from my phone. I've just had delivery of a Dell studio PC. I've connected it up to my existing monitor with a 15pin vga cable. This monitor and cable work fine with my old PC, but for some reason when I power up the new Dell the monitor says 'No Signal' and then powers down. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Dave
Try Ctrl + F8, which switches between display output on this Dell.

Guest Lazlo
Sometimes there is no logical reason why this happens but it happens all the same. I've had builds where the monitor has refused to boot but then decides to after 6 or 7 attempts. Some systems with onboard gfx have been a bit tetchy in the past. Try something semi-radical by pushing in the vga plug on the computer side in and slightly up on startup even though it's held in by the two screws. Is your monitor crt ? I'm sure older monitors can't get the jolt the need sometimes to start up properly from newer pc's
La Parka
I was plugging my monitor into the onboard slot when I had a dedecated graphics card, I had to use an adapter thing, its not that is it?
