Guest Heneage
Right, my brother is coming up to 16 so is about to take his GCSE's. He's told us he wants to be a PE teacher and that he wants to do a BTEC in Sport. Now I'm not fond of the idea, as I think what if he gets into it and hates it he either quits or sticks it it seems very narrow in terms of career options. I want him to take A-Levels and see how he does from there. He states one of the good things is no exams, now he says its because he's not very good at them and is better at coursework, but to me he's using that as an excuse as he does anything to get out of work. With Midds being a teacher and a fair few of you being or appearing at least intelligent I wondered. Is a BTEC a good idea? Can he get into a good University with a BTEC in Sport?
