Besty
Thought it'd be best to put this in here... I'm wanting a laptop so I'm selling my desktop, it includes: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ HDD - 250GB HITACHI DESKSTAR IDE 8MB GFX - NVIDIA GeForce 7900GT 256MB Pre-Overclocked Keyboard - Logitech G11 Gaming Keyboard Mouse - Razor Copperhead Gaming Mouse [Which seems to be a bit dodgy, keeps double clicking when I click once... Might just be the firmware though!] Processor - AMD ATHLON 64 PROCESSOR 3800+ 2.41GHz Socket 939 RAM - 1GB SUPERTALENT PC3200 /// 512MB NANYA PC3200 /// 512MB NANYA PC3200 Motherboard - ASRock 939NF6G-VSTA Monitor - GNR 19" TFT ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Looking for about £320 which is a decent deal I reckon. Would be ideal if you could pick it up (in Gateshead). Cheers...

Best to try and sell it in a shop window where people no thing about computers, or to a family member if you can live with the guilt, but still £200 would be the max rip off amount you'd get. Guest Lazlo
Have to agree with Taylor. I know it must have cost a lot more than that but you can buy pre built stuff which is a lot better for the money you want. You might get more by stripping it down and selling it as components on ebay. Taylor is just being brutally honest, i'd expect to pay £150 for that
Dokko
It is just the way computer components go, you buy it and its worth 30% less than you paid, simple as...nevermind years down the line. The spec is about 4 years out of date, IDE, 7 series, single core, i sold better to my father 18months ago for £200, now that stuff is near worthless. Its hard to accept but that's the way the computer cookie crumbles.

I (we) paid £230 ish for that nearly the same time last year. Such is the eliteist pinnacle of pc gaming. Don't get me wrong i love my computer but this endless onslaught of new gfx cards and impending upgrades is going to leave me seriously out of pocket and for what ?. Not a lot i fancy on the horizon. Aye, £230, i'd be lucky to get £60 for it what 13 months later? Quite criminal tbh. ONnly saving grace is that is was my xmas prezzie. :-[ Best thing you can do is buy the major components, GPU, CPU (got a E6600 for £55 Dec07 clocked to 3.2 at stock and it could get my money back for it) Mem 2nd hand, while spending good money on a display and peripherals as they don't depreciate so much. Or like i've done, best of both worlds here, buy a second hand gaming laptop which in a year or so i'll get what i paid back for it.
