A lot of this sounds like bollocks, but entertaining nonetheless as these figures did actually exist, and aside from slight exaggerations here and there, the stories can be somewhat verified via other sources:

I just looked up that Audie Murphy chap on wiki, the story checks out for that one.  The cracked.com wording is a bit amature and made to sound "cool", but it checked out for one of them perfectly.

Damn interesting read.  5'5 tall! was rejected by marines and paratroopers for being small however eventually turned out to be one of Americas most decorated millitary members in history.

I like the Fin the best. Some of those stories do sound ridiculous, a man killing 4 armed men with his bare hands, just "taking" bullets? One guy with no cover making 133 German soldiers give up? One man taking armed men on with a sword? You have to question people that can't accurately shoot an unarmed man at close range.

Like I mentioned, the way that cracked.com has written them is definitley embelishing the stories a little.  Wiki has that Indian dude being hit three times, and only taking on 3 people hand to hand with two of his colleagues.  So it was 3 vs 3 at the top, not him on his own killing 4.

Also the guy with the sword appears true.

It's interesting stuff...

That Jack Churchill sounds manly as f***.

He finally retired from the army in 1959, with two awards of the Distinguished Service Order, and died in Surrey in 1996. Eccentric until the end, Churchill would toss his briefcase out of the window of the commuter train he rode home every day. Passengers and conductors were shocked because they did not know he was throwing the luggage into his own backyard as the train passed by. It saved him the trouble of carrying it all the way home from the station.
