wrightstuff83
Just got the dreaded 3 red lights there on me 360, gutted! I only went live on monday! I'm currently trying out the towel fix method for a quick fix, failing that has anyone any advice? HELP!
Dave
Get it fixed. It's free.
LoveItIfWeBeatU
My advice is send it to Microsoft to be fixed. As long as it is within it's 3 year warranty period you'll be fine. You get a free month Gold membership to Xbox Live when you get it back.
wrightstuff83
wheres it free man? I've no warranty as I purchased off ebay about 2 years ago!
LoveItIfWeBeatU
wheres it free man? I've no warranty as I purchased off ebay about 2 years ago! Go to http://www.xbox.com/en-GB/ then 'Support' then 'Registration & Repair'. If your console is over 1 year old it will say it is out of warranty but RROD is covered by a 3 year warranty. This link was handy when mine RROD: - http://www.theaveragegamer.com/2008/05/11/how-to-get-your-red-ring-of-death-rrod-xbox-360-repaired/
Anthnufc
And they are quite quick at getting them sent back, mine got 3rrod and they replaced motherboard + cd drive and i got it back in 4 days!
Decky
Use your serial number to register your device here: https://service.xbox.com/register_sn.aspx After you register, you can go here to see if its still in warranty: https://service.xbox.com/warrantystatus.aspx?dvc=0&srid=-1 If it is then you can order it to be collected and fixed from here: https://service.xbox.com/repairterms.aspx?dvc=0&srid=-

Clay
If you're out of warranty, i'll fix it if you want, if you live in north east just drop it off with £5 and i'll fix it, if you want to try it yourself (it's piss easy, like seriously easy) just PM me for details... Arrived home to 'er indoors telling me that the towell trick had worked! Never thought it would and it is probably only a short term fix, but happy days anyway! wrightstuff83
Just an update lads! Firstly thanks for your help in the matter, including quagmire with some great info on the pm. Thankfully I got it registered with microsoft and they're due to collect it tomorrow morning, can't bloody wait for it to get back! Hoping for a nice quick return like Anthnufc's, although they did say over the phone it would be 2-3 weeks! This is like cold turkey man! The free months live is a nice touch too! Thanks again for all the help/info troops, much appreciated and maybe get a [email protected] fifa online soon!

Guest Stephen927
Thought I had got this last night but it was all flashing red, was cos cable at the back was loose. Phew. I think I'm fucked if I get RROD now. Had Xbox since launch, got RROD about 2 years ago so if I were to get it again would it be out of warranty? SEMTEX
it'd be out of warranty. Mind you, you can get an arcade for just over £100... so its no big imo. Keep an Xbox replacement fund... a quid a week!
