Syrette
Here we go... http://www.downloadfestival.co.uk/news/article.aspx?AID=014433fe-8bbf-497f-b4c1-bff720ba906e Slipknot The heavy metal 9-piece will be taking a break from their ‘All Hope Is Gone’ World Tour to play at Download for the third time. Expect more masked mayhem from the controversial headline act. The Prodigy Making their second appearance at Download, The Prodigy will be injecting a dose of fierce electronica and rock-rave beats, promising a performance not to be missed. MÖTLEY CRÜE The last time MÖTLEY CRÜE came to Download they played to a ram-packed tent of screaming fans, throwing out hits such as ‘Girls Girls Girls’ and ‘Dr. Feelgood’. They’ll be back at Download again this year, so get ready for another round of pandemonium from the lavish LA wildcats. KoRn Playing staggeringly for the fifth at Download, KoRn have established themselves as a highlight for festivals fans across the globe. Get ready to let Jonathan, Munky and Fieldy rock your tiny socks off one more time. DRAGONFORCE Having spent the last couple of years edging their way more and more into the public’s consciousness, young power metallers DRAGONFORCE will be inhumanly rampaging at this year’s Download. Expect to hear such tracks as “Through the Fire and the Flames” and “Heroes of Our Time” from the formidable English six-piece. DEVILDRIVER Hailing from Santa Barbara, California, groove metal band DEVILDRIVER will be headlining at Download for the very first time. The last time the band was at Download, they attempted a Guinness world record for the largest circle pit – before the attempt was rejected by Guinness on the grounds that it’s impossible to “define where any circle/mosh pit starts and ends”. Absolutely no idea if I am going to this fest yet again, right now I can't even consider it given my finances. Depends a lot on who else is playing and how many of my friends will bother with it this year. edit; wrong about the headliners
Syrette
Oh and Heaven & Hell and Lamb of God self-confirmed. And, sadly, the raped carcass of a once semi-decent dnb act that is Pendulum are attending again to meh the face off people like myself, should I get a ticket. La Parka
Not bad. Might go this year.
Nobody
You'd have to pay me to see that lot.

Skeletor
Best headliners it's had for the last few years. I rike.
Syrette
I'm just annoyed that Korn are there yet again. Why can't they just retire already?
Guest toonlass
Damnit, I was going to go, then decided I couldn't afford it, and now have seen the headliners and want to go. Arrrgggghhhhh!!!!
Mr. Snrub
Might be going to this. Though of all those bands all I'd wanna see is the Prodigy
Mr. Snrub
Def Leppard, Whitesnake and Limp fucking Bizkit added to line up.
Newcastle Fan
Def Leppard, Whitesnake and Limp f***ing Bizkit added to line up. Slipknot are fucking brilliant imo, but i can't believe Limp Bizkit are still alive, last time i heard they disbanded. Syrette
And Trivium again. Sigh. I can understand Def Leppard and Whitesnake, I'm not a fan of either but they'll go down a treat with all the old timers. Limp Bizkit though... indefensible. Surely they've not gained any fans in the 4 years since their last album dropped without a trace, and most of their fans grew up? I just can't fathom why they'd get such a high spot on the bill when there are so many other bands more deserving. Not only more deserving but likely to attract a bigger audience, and they wouldn't drag down Download's name with it. This isn't the first time they've reformed and the last time they did it, it was an unmitigated failure. The thing about all festivals, for me at least, is that the majority of the artists I'd want to see will be found on the smaller stages. Usually there would only be 1 or 2 that I'd be fussed about higher up on the bill, that's just the way it is. Linkin Park and My Chemical Ear-rape played 2 years ago and I still had a great festival. Syrette
Oh, and I was wrong (or Download didn't spell it out at all) about the headliners. Def Leppard are headlining with Slipknot, not sure about the rest.
Skeletor
Def Leppard?
Mr. Snrub
Added to the line up: Marilyn Manson, ZZ Top and Killswitch Engage. KSE are decent, but the other 2 are a total joke.
