Tooj
Evening All, I'm having a huge problem browsing websites. It was a bug before but now I'm absolutely sick of it and just want to get it resolved. For example when clicking on hyperlinks on certain websites I don't even get a response, for example Monster or even viewing my hotmail. When I click on the hyperlink nothing at all happens so I obviously can't view further pages on the websites. And when on things like Facebook I receive a load of error messages. I'm guessing it's something to do with some security settings or something on my computer. Any help would be much appreciated.
Dave
Uninstall and reinstall Java, closing all your browsers first. If that doesn't work, try reinstalling your browser.

Guest Lazlo
What browser are you using ? What sort of errors are you getting ? Script ?
Tooj
What browser are you using ? What sort of errors are you getting ? Script ? I'm using Firefox however the same issue happens on all browsers. For example the error I keep on getting on Facebook says "Something went wrong. We're working on getting this fixed as soon as we can. You may be able to try again." Then when I check the Firefox error log for what happens on all of the other websites it gives various warning messages saying declaration dropped. Then error messages basically say that something isn't defined.
Andy
Try buying a new computer. If that doesn't work, try leaving the internet completely. We won't miss you.
Guest Lazlo
Could you try in a command window ipconfig /flushdns Would you be prepared to try opendns if that doesn't work ? You can change the settings straight back if it isn't that. https://www.opendns.com/start/

Rich
Try buying a new computer. If that doesn't work, try leaving the internet completely. We won't miss you. While I must say I do not agree with the sentiment at all, thinking Tooj to be a rather lovely chap with a penchant for some serious clungeage, that was pretty damn funny. Might be a daft suggestion but have you tried simply upgrading to the latest BETA version of Firefox (http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-beta.html)? I'm using it without any problems at all and the new "private browsing" feature comes in very handy... I'm also assuming you've attempted the same links/websites in IE without problems?? If so it might be worth saving all your data in Firefox (bookmarks, history, etc.) and uninstalling it before trying the BETA.

But for some reason I installed Windows Vista Manager and had a bit of a faff around. Not sure what I done tbh but now the problem seems to be solved.
