Guest firetotheworks
What worries me more than anything is that as a child my dad looked EXACTLY like Hitler, minus the 'tache.

AyeDubbleYoo
Terrifying to see them brought to life like that. Ross is right though, they were a bad lot but they had a hell of an eye for design.

Guest firetotheworks
Its funny how its like 'for all the bad they did, they sure knew how to throw a party' as in 'yeah for all the 6 million jews, romani and disabled people they exterminated, and the 6 year war they brought to the world......at least they had a nice party.' Im not having a go, its just a funny thing to say with a such a vast chasm in disgust and appreciation for the Nazis.
AyeDubbleYoo
Don't get me wrong, I'm chilled to the bone by what the Nazi's did and I'm sickened by everything I read and see about it. The horror of it all can't be overstated.

"Before Hugo Boss A.G. became known for classic men's suits and flashy ties, the clothing manufacturer made uniforms for the Nazis, a company spokeswoman acknowledged" Bet you lot didn't know that
Haz
As the master race they certainly knew how to accessorise.

Many of them were taken at Rallies which it has to be said make for impressive sights. I was taking that on it's own and commenting on it which I thought was the purpose of the thread

I don't see what is strange about saying they had a well orchestrated and designed 'show'/wardrobe etc. It's not appreciating them for it, it's just making a point. They did. It doesn't detract from their atrocities.
Haz
You see stuff like this all the time on the Discovery and Hitler channels and it is all the chilling in its reality.
pedro111
Wow, stunning, simply stunning. WW2 seems so long ago but when you see these amazing pictures it seems like it could be only yesterday. Like already said, leaving aside what they did, the grandness of these places and the design of the clothes etc are fantasitc imo. That image about halfway down where there is a huge gold German Eagle doing a bicep curl pose with its feathers is cool as f***. Also, in alot of ways they seem to have better garments back then than we do today!, I mean, look at them grey gloves they wear!?!?, they are better than any pair Ive ever owned 65 years later!! plus Hitlers leather jacket is immense. Adam
Those rallies they did, though there could never be a new Hitler as health and saftey would never allow his rallies to be like that now... Its interesting to see the pictures in colour though.
Andy
Those rallies they did, though there could never be a new Hitler as health and saftey would never allow his rallies to be like that now... Yeah, they'd probably have an issue with the death camps as well.

Yeah, they'd probably have an issue with the death camps as well. As long as the people working there are wearing appropriate protection... Ok I'll stop being sarcastic as someone will take it serious and get upset.
