Women who dress provocatively in the workplace

Caught a bit of a discussion on the TV, the other morning. It centered around women who dress provocatively (specifically in the workplace) and then who choose to complain when they receive unwanted attention or that they aren't taken seriously.

Many of us have worked in offices and there's pretty much always been one lass who likes to wear the short skirts and low cut tops. Do you have a problem with it or is there more of an issue with regards to it being inappropriate for the situation, particularly if it brings unwanted attention?

Us lads react to visual stimuli, indeed it's hard wired into the brain. So therefore is it difficult to not treat a woman as a sexual object in the workplace, when she's wearing a skirt which might as well be a belt or a tight top which is struggling to contain it's contents? Suspect that's a daft question :D - but seriously - should such a look be kept for the pubs and clubs at a weekend?

There was a girl at works training who used to come dressed no better than a stripper, knickers scratching her shoulder blades was just daft.

I have a problem with it when it's 50+ munters who are showing off their thong.

In general though, whilst blokes may 'mentally react to visual stimuli', if they can't control themself from making it physical or inappropriate then it's their own fucking fault. Women are cockteases, it happens, live with it.

No denying that some women are prickteasers. What I'm asking is whether there is a time and a place to dress provocatively. If a lass dresses in such a way for the workplace and then kicks off about men talking to her chest instead of her face - should she be surprised as to this happening?

It depends how obvious it is i guess. If she's blatantly showing off her cleavage or whatever then you can't really argue for her.

Sneaking a peak through a loose button would probably be a bit out of order though.

I'm guessing that the surprised lass isn't all that clever, so it's no surprise that she is surprised.

If a girls gonna dress to get a reaction, she has no right to complain when she does, its like me hitting someone and being suprised they hit me back, I brought it on myself.

Shouldn't it really be up to the business itself to police this?  Surely in a truly professional workplace the women wouldn't really be dressing like that, although there's part of me that understand if they're using it to impress clients or potential clients.

If any of the women dressed provocatively around here I'd be handing in my notice.

You gay like?

I'd rather turn gay than see any of the women around here in the buff.

Lacking in quality huh?

Nightmare.

They may have had quality once. But they're either 25 years or 25 stone beyond said quality.
