Any ideas when this is due for release?

Mass Effect really took me by surprise. I never thought I'd like it, and only really started playing it because I had it bought for me for christmas. Once I got into it though I loved it. Probably one of the best, most enjoyable games I've ever played.

One thing I would like is on the galactic map, is when you hover over a star system it shows what quests require you to go there, instead of having to remember where quests are where before you load the map.

It got to the point I had a sheet of paper with the quests on and where to go as i was sick of going back and forth.

Games like Mass Effect 2 don't come around often enough. Look at any aspect and you can be sure it's great. It's incredibly personal while still retaining a sense of epic sweeping scale. The combat and mission design are outstanding. The visuals, voice acting, soundtrack, and direction are miles ahead of the competition. Perhaps most impressively, Mass Effect 2 manages to fulfill its incredible ambition while only suffering from very few technical hiccups. The only real caveat I should mention is that some of the revelations and plot twists won't be quite as powerful if you haven't played Mass Effect 1, but that isn't any reason to skip this fantastic videogame.

Didn't play the first one, but just had a quick go at this, played the opening 20-30 minutes.

The game looks absolutely superb, especially the character models and textures are incredible.

The opening is epic by the way :nods:

Played another hour. It's good. It's really, really good. And this is coming from someone who doesn't usually like RPGs. The production values are amazing, everything looks great and the dialogue and writing is brilliant.

It still feels like I've been mostly watching cut-scenes, but they have been good enough to keep me interested and they have done a decent job filling me in what happened in the first game (I think). The game just opened up now, would imagine it gets better from here as well.

Really looking forward to this. Im not massively into RPG's but Mass Effect was probably one of the most enjoyable games I've ever played, particularly recently.

Bit annoyed though that I've wiped my hard drive since completing the first one so won't be able to carry my character over.

Khay - the first one is really good, definitely worth playing, the graphics are still very, very impressive. If you dont want to wait though I've heard that you don't massively need to have played the first one to get into the second.

In the same boat, don't have my old saves.

Worse than that was wiping my Fallout 3 saves and having then bought the 5 add ons without realising this.
