Heston Blumenthal truly is a genius. Really loved that programme.

Defo worth watching? Missed it and have now missed the first 15 mins on +1.

Will catch it on 4OD like if it's that good.

It was amazing that turtle soup looked the best I recon. Seriously thinking about saving up to go to the fat duck at some point this year. Anyone know the prices?

It's currently closed due to a food poisoning scare.

He's pretty sure it isn't food poisoning and has done all sorts of tests etc, hopes to be back open by the end of the week.

Don't so much consider Blumenthal a chef but a scientist really. Although it'd be an experience to eat his bait I'd much prefer a top michellin starred chef cooking more convential food.

Thats pink cocktail looked immense but the insects could be a bit much if yer mam served them up every sunday for lunch.

Talking of last night's TV, anyone else watch The Culture show?

Aye it was interesting. :nods:

I still think Kermode would make a much better frontman for Film 2009 than Jonathan Woss.

Or Mark Commode as he was referred to.

It was interesting to hear the views of the council and the Baltic director on the 200m invested into the city's arts & culture anyway. Made me want to smack HTT over the head with a piece of Yoko Ono's conceptual art.

My Mrs was wondering if one of his bizarre concoctions reacted with sommat else that normal folk eat the day after (liek cornflakes) and that's why they're all going sick

A mate reckons they're all trying to get a free meal next time round
