Clay Posted March 4, 2009 Share Posted March 4, 2009 Good year for fighters by the looks of things, never played this before but it looks pretty sweet New King of Fighters coming in July News News by Ellie Gibson Today 08:27 The next instalment in the King of Fighters series has been stamped with a global release date of July 2009. The King of Fighters XII is in development for PS3 and Xbox 360. It will feature high-resolution fighters instead of the usual sprites, and we're promised fluid animations along with detailed, hand-drawn backgrounds. According to SNK's Masaaki Kukino, the team's slogan during development has been "KOF Re-Birth" as their goal has been to completely overhaul the series. "To make this a truly unique fighting game, we’ve revolutionised the graphics by creating state of the art visuals - and made no compromises in that process whatsoever," said Kukino. People DIED. Ignition Entertainment's Shaun Bettenhausen added, "While other fighting games have abandoned the time-consuming process of creating beautiful 2D art, KOFXII fully embraces the refined aesthetic beauty that only human hands can produce." I used the kickboxing guy who did a cool roundhouse (sort of like Cammy's spinning punch, but a kick) on QCF+K.. was it Kim..? I never liked Samurai Shodown, it was too slow (and too hard >_< ). Last Blade had it beat hands down as far as weapons-based combat went. Liked it because Ukyo used to slice that apple in mid air before a fight. Was never ever any good at it. shido Posted July 10, 2009 Share Posted July 10, 2009 Holy crap blazblue came today! I only ordered it a week ago and its here from the states! Its pretty mental...the characters are all so different its pretty awesome...looks stunning! Haven't tried any modes yet except training but it feels damn good.
