Northerngimp Posted March 6, 2009 Share Posted March 6, 2009 Ten men have been arrested following the discovery of an "industrial" cannabis farm on Tyneside. Police found 1,708 cannabis plants, with an estimated potential yield of £275,000 in one unit on Chainbridge Industrial Estate, Blaydon. A large quantity of electrical equipment including lights and heaters were also found at a unit at the Team Valley Trading Estate in Gateshead. Harvested cannabis was also found during a search of a farm at Callerton. A Northumbria Police spokesman said: "This was an industrial scale commercial operation to grow a large number of cannabis plants."
