I just bought a DVD which I found out is an NTSC. How do I go about using it on a DVD player I know you can change region or something can't you?

NTSC is a TV standard, nothing to do with regions. Any TV made within the last ten years should be able to handle NTSC.

If you want to play a region 1 (US) DVD, you need a multi-region DVD player. However, most region-locked DVD players have a hack inputted through the remote that lets you choose the region you want.

Oh and take that apostrophe out, Mr Journalist. It's a bloody disgrace.

Your Mac will have a region-locked DVD drive, too. Your best bet there might be to user Mac the Ripper to copy the DVD to your hard drive and play it from there. That should work.

Ahh right I've found a region hack for my DVD player. (Apologies Dave if that's illegal feel free to delete).

On top of that we have a pretty modern telly so I reckon we should be ok.
