Making Winamp My Default Media Player With Vista

I think that winamp needs to be installed in administrator mode. If you install it normally it won't allow the new settings to be written to the registry.

How about if you right click the song in My Music or wherever, and go down to Open With, and then "Choose Default Program"

Wullie I am logged into the computer under the admin account mate and it makes no difference.

Stephen that does work mate cheers the only thing is that because it asks for permission before it starts winamp my settings are reset everytime. Is there anyway around this ?
