Last year Keegan went for broke, this year...

Keegan ditched Duff and Smith and went for it, Viduka, owen and Martins in the 4-3-3 which ultimately saved us. This year we will have a totally different mindset, and no Viduka. We still have enough quality players fit and available eventually, but I don't think we have anyone capable of being brave enough to put out a side which will win enough of the remaining games. Leadership is vital and we don't have any. This might be the biggest mistake of Ashley's reign so far.

We'll scrap it out like the Boltons of this world, rather than play with a bit of class like we would have with Keegan.

Time for Hughton to be brave and change the way we go about playing games.

Every week we'll get buzzwords and cliches like "experience", "battling", "type of player you need at the bottom", "hurts the players as much as the fans."

Keegan preferred to try and win matches by being better than the other team. Craaaaazy.

Why bring Keegan up again?

Because of the approach he took last year in a similar position, and the approach we will take this year under Hughton. It's a direct comparison of how to face a relegation fight, I don't want this to descend into a Keegan fanboy/Ashley out thread. I'm not in either camp, I just think that the approach Hughton is taking will be costly.

the right thing would be ditch Kinnear and co. Get someone in capable of getting these players playing. Possibly get that Extra wee push a new manager usually brings.

Sadly everyone can see it except Ashley. He was at the game today and will no doubt see that as a good point won.

How the hell can you say that? You have absolutely no idea what Ashley is thinking, that's just Mail-esque speculation.

erm....he is the one that is sticking with Kinnear/Hughton.

He is the only one that can change it

We had a good manager, now we don't simple as. Ashley is gambling big time and it's down to luck, not skill if he wins.

How ironic that our Managing Director runs a casino.

I've said this before

Running a casino = squeezing money out of deluded punters = running NUFC

The new set up believe they know best but I dont believe they have the collective nous to steer us away from trouble.  If we stay up it is only down to luck that teams likes W Brom, Stoke and Boro are also piss poor.  The comparison to Keegan is relevant given that at the back end of last year we were in similar need of avoiding dropping into trouble.  As I say, Derek, Joe and Hughton know best.

Keegan sends his sides out to attack , its better to watch a team attack,.. end of discussion.

unless one of the keegan haters, wants to argue its better to watch a team not attack.

We are a joke.....one fat joke....simple as that!

its almost like i can understand the players doesn´t seem to give a f...! their future at this club doesn´t seem promising! dont believe kinnear inspires any of the players!
