Decky
What are people's thoughts on this then? Do you agree with it? I think it is ridiculous tbh, yes I am aware it is within their right to demonstrate, but alot of them are just causing trouble camping out in the middle of roads, throwing objects at the police, breaking windows etc. I also love how the police are the enemy out there, when they are just doing their job, something half of those hippies should try some day. The biggest joke of all here is that all of this falls on deaf ears.

What the hell are they even protesting about? Just something because it's the G20 meeting?

Protest if you want if you feel strongly about a certain subject, but this is just total dogs***e. Protesting just because you can, I mean just f*** off and pretend to care about something else. Attaching yourself to a topic just because others are is something I despise in this country. Essentially going to a protest to make yourself feel popular. Christ on a bike. Most of the protests today are specifically targetted at financial institutions, hence all the demonstrations in the square mile, it all kicking off outside Bank of England etc. There's also a stop the war coalition in Trafalgar square. Everyone's protesting now because the whole world is watching. Seems a good time to air any grievances you may have.
NJS
Got some of us two days of "working" from home, I'm all for it. Coinciding with a reason to keep SSN on in the background as well. Part of me fancied going to work for a laugh but I don't trust the coppers.

Part of me fancied going to work for a laugh but I don't trust the coppers. Even though I wasn't allowed in I had to pop in an hour or two ago as I'd left my laptop power cable in the office Seemed a big fuss about nothing tbh, police presence was absolutely huge. Might have been more fun earlier on.

kingkerouac
Mostly middle-class, white, a lot of euro-scum, (Italian and german smackhead revolutionaries). Protesting about... protesting I suppose. It's hilarious that these cunts are there protesting. Most of these fuckers don't work and are not affected by any economic woes - as a quick call to mummy or papa and the trust fund is administere I despise the attItude that these hippies have, especially Greenpeace and twats like them. Who the fuck are they to tell us we don't want an airport extension. I'll let the experts decide. The middle-classes in all their guises, telling us what to do. Guest LucaAltieri
I bet the cunts whining about protesters are the same cunts that whine about the political process being ineffective, "all politicians are the same," not voting because it doesn't make a difference etc... They're voicing their opinion. If no fucker bothers then the politicos really will think they can get away with everything completely unchecked. It's a civic duty. You'll find the beats were the original hippies. I think you'll find there are plenty of working class people involved. Baring a few nuggets smashing a couple of bank windows the huge majority of protesters have been peaceful. Have a look around at the world press to see what's been going on, peaceful protests are being smashed by the police, one person is already dead (reason tbc). The majority of those complaining about protesters on this thread are forgetting one big thing, it was those protesting in the past that got you the 5 day working week, holiday entitlements and the scrapping of the poll tax, amongst many other things.
