morgs
Well, it all kicks off tomorrow over at Augusta. I certainly reckon a european could do it this year and i would definetly watch out for the Swedes and Rory. I have heard it is supposed to be windy there which would certainly spread the board and could favour the consistent rather than spectacular players. Shak
Had a cheeky 2 quid each way on Greg Norman. He's due a win at Augusta, been knocking on the door for a while now. Also had two on Zach Johnson, Karlsson, Poulter, Garcia and Poulter to win it. All are really long shots, still not decided which of the more realistic bets are worth a tenner. Thinking maybe Ogilvy at 20/1 and one other, not sure yet. Was on like a 5 year money winning Masters streak up until last year so hopefully can get that going again. Best major of the year, playing Augusta would be the ultimate golfing dream.
Nobody
Have to agree with Shak, definitely the best major. Augusta is such a brilliant course, and works tremendously for a major. Would love for Tiger to win it, just to again be in awe of his greatness.

Shak
Pretty sure I could dominate poor Jesper these days, guy hasn't hit a good shot in years. Be shocked if he's even qualified tbh. (though I'm aware Lanky is only taking the piss, of course)

Don't you admire the guy for attempting to introduce a modern clothing accessory to the golfing world The 'uptilt' cap was an inspiration to......... er..................... Nobody
Shame Campbell lost a couple of shots towards the end, he was on his way to a truly stunning opening round for a while.
Shak
Was one quality moment there yesterday when Woods played an approach shot and stuck it close. Jeev Milka Singh, his playing partner, was sort of in the background and gave him this look. Reminded me of that episode of the Simpsons where the really good lawyer makes a statement and Lionel Hutz, whose his opponent in the case goes "Ooh, he's gonna win." His ballstriking yesterday was a joy to behold, if he finds his range from 10-20 feet with the putter he'll win this thing at a canter. Ended up backing Angel Cabrera, Harrington and Furyk this morning, pissed rain yesterday so never got to bookies. Chad Campbell runing away with the show at the moment though, 4 shots clear at -10. http://www.masters.com/en_US/realtime/lb.html?ts=1239377459827&syn=none&db=false&ref=www.masters.com/en_US/index.html Real-time score-board, handy to have open on your desktop. Robster
Sometimes the rules of golf can be absolutely ridiculous. Padraig Harrington is in looooooooooooong discussions with referees over a possible penalty.... and all he did was address the ball ready to putt - only to walk away as the wind was blowing a gale and moved the ball a little. How the fuck can you penalise a player for that.. hardly cheating when its down to weather conditions
morgs
its a pity with golf, sometimes common sense should sign through, like with this and mcilroy
Shak
Hopefully common sense comes through for McIlroy. Harrington thing though, while it's an absolute kick in the balls for him and really not something he can do anything about it's one of those rules that you can't avoid having in there. Take it away and it opens things up to all sorts of cheating. Shaping up for a very, very good weekend this. You've got 5 decent players in the top 5 spots and they're the ones to beat, no doubt. But look at the chasing pack. 13 of the top 15 players in the world are on somewhere between -2 and -4, and Kenny Perry at -9 is one of the two guys missing from that pack. Gonna be some fireworks from the chasing pack tomorrow I reckon, would love it all to tighten up if the last couple of groups struggle.

Shak
Todd Hamilton is 50/1 to win at most bookies for some bizarre reason. He's in 4th place at -6, only other time he's been in contention for a major he won it in seriously impressive fashion, out playing a seriously in-form at the time Ernie Els. Well worth a fiver at those odds.
