Adam
Grahpics card will really limit you. Original Half life is a awesome game, CS 1.6 as well, but most of the people who play that are either really good, or just moan a lot. Other than that red alert, max payne, mafia the original mafia, though its quite dated now.
Clay
Cheers mate. I've currently got these running on all high settings World of Goo (no settings i think) RCT 3 CIV IV If that helps determine what will run on it? Getting a gfx card of Lazlo soon so it's just temp really. Would both Max Payne 1 n 2 run with shit gfx?
anaxerxes
You should be able to play Half-Life 2 with those specs. It's a few years old now, and it can be scaled down a lot. Quite possibly the best FPS I've ever played...
Adam
HL2 will most likely work as it scales down to Direct x 7. Max payne 1 and 2 should run, they aren't really very demanding games.
O Neill
There are tons of really old games that you can look at. Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2 looks a bit blocky now but is still a fantastic FPS and was the game that made the series. Thief 2 is another that looks dated but still plays brilliantly. The original Deus Ex is a masterpiece and well worth a look if you have plenty of time to invest. But these are all at the very low end of the scale. I imagine you can easily run Quake 3 engine games which means that Call of Duty, Call of Duty: United Offensive (needs CoD), Call of Duty 2, Medal of Honor: Allied Assault etc should all work and they are all worth a play. They all still have online multiplayer communities as well. If you are going to play online then you may want to check out Red Orchestra as it was once pretty popular. If it's offline you want but don't like the arcadey style shooters then there are few better games than Rainbow 6: Raven Shield for a more realistic approach. Clay
Just reactivated my steam account and i've CS 1.6 and Condition Zero already bought, happy days
Adam
If you get HL2, there are loads of mods about, quite a lot of good (if short) single player ones you can download directly form steam.
Clay
Fuck CS 1.6 man Just had my first match there, now got cramp in my left hand and i managed about 3 kills in 20 minutes It was on a VAC secured servers so i'm not sure if people were cheating but i kept getting killed off some cunt called Britney Spears over and over again and some other guy who was crawling walls i'm sure there was no-one around to kill me though maybe there's some freaks playing it these days with super reflexes and vision but i used to consider myself as a decent CS player. I dunno, it'd be a good game if i knew people weren't cheating but fuck me is it hard. Is there a way to find a server with 100% no cheats? Pad>>>>Keyboard and Mouse.. pedro111
Quaggy mate, if you are looking for something along the lines of Red Alert then look no further than Company of Heroes. Its a WW2 RTS with great destructible environments. A fantasic game that even I can get great graphics on my shitty system. Also get the sequel "COH - Tales of Valor" where you can play as the British.
Mike
You know what game I love in theory? Sim City. When I don't have it installed, I ask myself why and then install it. As soon as I start playing it and those fucking bastards refuse to use the public transportation I've busted my ass to provide them, I uninstall it and wait for the process to repeat itself. Hahahahahah yes Mike Youve added Mike Ashley to your Sig, its mint!!! In relation to your post, I am a huge Sim City fan, I played Sim City 2000 for hours on end back in the day, it was so addictive. Since then, every other city building game has flopped miserably................... however, there is one last beacon of hope which is due out this summer...........I give to you..........Cities XL.............s*** name but the game looks very promising indeed: http://www.citiesxl.com/
