GM
I just got back home from a weekend away and found that I couldn't get a dial tone on my home phone line at all - in fact it sounds like there is a call still ongoing - I'm getting that "line open" sound...and when I phone my home number from my mobile I get the engaged tone. So I was wondering if anyone on here who knows about these sort of things could give me any advice how to sort this out - as the earliest I can arrange for a telephone engineer to come and take a look at the problem is next Saturday morning - which is a right pain in the arse having no phone line all week. Dave
Ring the BT fault helpline from your mobile.
GM
Ring the BT fault helpline from your mobile. I've phoned the Virgin Phone "helpline" already mate...contradiction in terms though that is. I was just wondering if any BT technicians would maybe know what the problem is just by hearing the diagnosis?
Dave
I'm guessing your line is still on BT's infrastructure, so try this: megalink.
