MidfieldGeneral
Can anyone tell me if Dual Layer disks are different in colour to a standard dvdr ? The reason I ask this is because most dvdr's are purple on the info side yet most bought dvds, which are dual layer, are like looking in a mirror ? indi
The ones I have are indeed purple, that doesn't necessarily mean that they all are, like. Good luck burning anything onto them, I've never managed to get it to work.
MidfieldGeneral
It's not that mate, I bought a dvd off ebay that's just came today and it's clearly a copy. I've emailed the seller and he's arguing the toss and saying that it's genuine. Now I've just gone through around 50 bought dvd's out of my collection at random and not one of them is on a purple disk but every dvdr that I have is. I was hoping to get something to back up my argument lol.
Kasper
All the dual layers I have (verbatim) are purple.
MidfieldGeneral
Ah bollocks well that's that theory out of the window lol. Can anyone then tell me if all bought dvds (movies, tv series etc) are the clear mirror type colour on the info side ?

MidfieldGeneral
He's now agreed to take it back but is still adamant that he's sold me a genuine dvd and not a copy lol.

Joey
I had that happen to me once, however when I told him about it he refunded my money and told me to keep it. It was a good copy though, cover and all and would of fooled a lot of people. However I got it for free, obviously didn't want anybody knowing his address . MidfieldGeneral
Cheers for that Kasper. The ironic thing is the dvd is Newcastle United 501 Goals and it was bought off someone from Sunderland lol.

Guest Stephen927
How much did you pay for it? If it was insanely cheap then that can be a giveaway.
MidfieldGeneral
£6.60 for the dvd and then I paid extra for p&p so that it was insured.
Guest Lazlo
If you ever come up against this again the best way of proving it is by copying it yourself. If you can pull all the files off the dvd and write without any specialist software then it is a fake. No macrovision, not original.
