The Blackberry

I've been using this k790 Sony Ericsson for about 3 years so maybe it's time for a change. The Blackberry looks good and from what I've read, it's better than other phones out there.

Does anyone have it? What's it like? How hard is it to type messages? I've typed messages on the iPhone before and it's horrible so that's a no-go for me.

I can't type on an iPhone, dude. I don't want to have to spend ages making sure I'm precise with my touches so that I end up at the site that I want to be at. I prefer an actual keyboard so that's why the Blackberry's something I'm looking at.

The features are almost the same with regards to the Blackberry and the iPhone anyway, and the BB has a much higher rep in terms of emails/msn etc., something that I'll be doing much more of than listening to music or taking pictures.

You get used to it, I can type with pinpoint precision, plus when the new OS for the iPhone comes out, the keyboard will be even bigger, with the buttons actually bigger than the buttons on the "actual" blackberry keyboard. So your point in "I can't hit the buttons" doesn't work :pow:

But the buttons on the BB are real buttons, innit?

I admit to not using both before (only seeing people using it).

However in my experience and feedbacks from well travelled professional colleagues - iphone is simply better than Blackberry.

Like what Kaizero says - you will get used to it - like the new skins of Facebooks.

I believe the Nokia E71 is a better bet, I've got a Blackberry Curve and its good but web browser is still mediocre and no 3G sucks.  That being said, I need a qwerty keyboard and the ipod camera sucks.

tbh, i barely make any effort with my typing on the iPhone, i just mash away at the keys and it tends to work out what i intended to write anyway.

Either that or I send completely illegible messages. But most the time the iphone comprehends my random screen bashing.
