Consumer rights - prams/pushchair

Not sure if there is anyone here who is up on consumer rights, but hey ho.

We've got a major problem with the pram/pushchair that we have for the bairn. It's about 5 months old and it's been an almost never-ending catalogue of problems. First a wheel kept coming off (within the first week) - we took it back to Mothercare, who got in touch with the supplier and they sent a new wheel out. A few weeks later, same thing happened and this time we got sent a set of 4 wheels. Most recently, the chassy wouldn't fold down at all, so via Mothercare it got sent back to the supplier who fitted a new chassy. However, we've had it back 2 days and another problem as appeared - the brake keeps on coming on by itself.

It's really beyond the joke now, and the wife is going to be getting in touch with some consumer rights people tomorrow to see what we can do. Surely we can demand our money back, because the pram is not fit for purpose? The issue with the wheels was apparently a known issue with the make/model, so it's flakey anyway.

Anyone able to offer some advice at all?

Contact Trading Standards at the Council, or Citizens Advice. Otherwise BBC Watchdog.
