Guest toonlass
onto DVD. My video player knacked up this weekend, and I have loads of tapes I would get copied onto DVD, is there any simple way of getting this done?

Plug the scart from the VCR in into the DVD recorder and press play on the vcr and record on the DVDR.

Guest Lazlo
Your best bet is to get a dvd recorder like gorilla said and do it that way., sounds like you need a new one anyway It's time consuming, i've done it and it's not easy on a home pc if you're not familiar with doing it. The cost of a new dvd recorder will outweigh the cost of either sending it to a pro/ or asking someone to do it for you. Make sure if you decide to get a recorder that it can do what you want it to do though.
Joey
Or you could try something like http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-listing/B0002AGF0M/ref=dp_olp_used?ie=UTF8&condition=used however it's a bit pricey if you've only got a few.
Chrissy Bee
What kind of stuff do you want to transfer? Is it just old films or are there home movies in there too?
