Keefaz
During the interview, the 69-year-old former barrister claimed ministers had "mucked up the system" by introducing the Freedom of Information Act. He added: "What right does the public have to interfere with my private life? None." Aye, whatever. Do you know what this is about? Jealousy. I've got a very, very large house. Some people say it looks like Balmoral, but it's a merchant's house from the 19th century. It's not particularly attractive. It just does me nicely. I've got room to plant a few trees. Colos Short and Curlies
There was probably a bit of truth in what he said tbh. The majority of people who have been interviewed (from the gen. public) would do exactly the same as the MPs have if they were in that situation. Its a sad fact, but a fact all the same. And whilst I doubt that the outcry stems from jealousy I'm sure that there are more people with a small hit of the green eyed monster over someone owning a house like that then not. People wouldn't give a shit how big his house was if he hadn't used £87,000 of tax payers money to do the gardening.

BlueStar
Speaking of general political stupidity, was reading my mayoral elections info pack and one of the things the National Front candidate is talking about is bringing back the death penalty. What, just in North Tyneside?
