The Wetherspoons is called The Fire Station, it's a good place to start tbh - get your round in there as it's cheap! Whenever I go I tend to just have one quick one in there like.

Jimmy's is decent as well, not too expensive although it's dead cramped in there, bit of a low ceiling.

Blue is full of young people, studenty types etc.

The Fitzgerald is another one you should stay away from. The drink is pricey in there and despite it being in the middle of Whitley it's pretty dead in there usually.

Once pulled an old munter in the nite club downstairs in the Royal, going back 20 years ago, took her back to my room, went for a piss, and whilst i was pissing profusely, she came in,knelt and proceeded to give me a blowie whilst in full flow.

Dead Classy.

The Firestation is the only place i go like, sometimes The Townhouse. Odd time i get dragged to Jimmyz but not often as i absolutely despise Whitley. (Sorry like, Pilko) ???

Anybody remember the Olive Grove, I worked there in '85. was a cracking hot summer, was my first experience of full on Bar fights, people being hit over the head with stools, bouncers massacring people, women pulling the big hair that was in fashion, fun times

I cannot believe Pilko "does" Whitley Bay like

Fucking horrific place (I'm very local to it, as well, when I'm at home).

I've been to Eden a few times and it was actually pretty good once, usually full of radge - not fadge - unfortunately.

I like the Townhouse, like it a lot less since i've been working there though.

But its a job and it keeps me going through uni.

Remember it well, Rio's, The Avenue, Whisky Bends, The Aletsa, frequented all of them in the 80s.
