When I lived in Southampton she was a local celebrity, and always gave stuff back to the community, visiting schools and suchlike. I used to have to take the Millvina Dean bus into town every day. Yeah, I heard that on the radio yesterday... the surplus in the fund is now going to the RNLI and other organisations preventing deaths at sea.
