Going there on Friday, haven't been in about ten years. Praying the weather will hold out - forecast says light showers at present but it's been changing every day this week!

Anyone been lately?

Went late last year, best theme park in the country for me but be prepeared for some epic cueing.

Cueing. :colo:

Yeah, we're hoping it might be a bit easier with it being a weekday and out of the school holidays but I bet it's still busy.

Knowing my luck Shearer will be confirmed that day like.

Upside down on the rollercoaster, posting from your phone. :)

I was there a couple of weeks ago, on a Friday like yourself, queues were better than past experiences.

We didn't get to Oblivion until 5:30pm as it was the ride my friend's girlfriend was least sure about, but there was no queue, and we got to go round three times on the front row before being packed off.

Hey I've been drinking (it's also a convenient excuse).

Aye you should cue for the likes of Nemesis, Reeta, Air and Oblivion early as they fill up quickly. If I went agaiin I'd stay over night as I missed out on some of the better rides due to silly waiting times.

You are expected to leave your phone in your bag at the stations. In fact there are some rides where phones will disrupt the magnets and break the rides down for 30 mins, and they'll ban you from the Theme Park.

No point in going now, is it?

Maybe because Oblivion is wankazoid.

Nah, the queues were about an hour for most of the day. Also we got on Air in about 30 mins (and I got on the front which would have meant queuing even longer) by going single rider when queue times were about 1hr15mins. Don't be put off by the signs that tell you that you are going to be queuing for longer if you are at a certain point, they were wrong.

I think I have to call bullshit on that.

Do you not think it's more likely that they're annoyed by people dropping them?

That wasn't a question, I've been on it.

Im just going by ther signs, but some of the rides are powered by electromagnets.

I was just making a point though that if you stay right to closing you'll get a good session on one ride. Oblivion seems the obvious choice given the amount of time it takes on the actual ride doesn't justify the queue.

Hmm, fair point.

We're going to try the anti-clockwise method btw.

The nearest coaster is anticlockwise so that doesn't necessarily work. Unless you arrive at opening and run to Oblivion/Rita/Air, I dont think you'll get to appreciate short queues during the day time.

The one thing we did find though is that they overstate the queue always, probably as it makes you happy when it is faster than expected

If you want a breather, or maybe get away from queuing for ages, Duel, Hex, the Rapids, the Flume, and the Runaway Train are all good.

Or if you want to miss queues but still want adrenalin, Blade and Ripsaw and Enterprise.

Try to avoid going on Enterprise in your own cage, as you'll slide into an uncomfortable position.

Whatever you do, do not go on the Skyline. Huge queue for some nice views and a slow journey across the park. If you want to do that go to the Alps and get on a cable car.
