Mowen
What's the finest gig you've ever been to? And why? Has to be Rage at Leeds last year for me. Absolutely mindblowing destructive stuff. Right by the front, crazy atmosphere and an unbelievable show, wouldn't have missed it for anything. Honourable mentions go to: Sigur Rós, Arcade Fire, Anthony and the Johnsons, The Go! Team. Lenny
I've only been to a couple of Foo Fighters gigs, one at the O2 and the other at Wembley, but it would take one hell of a gig to top either of them unless its another Foo's gig since no other band comes close to them for me. Their energy on stage (particularly Grohl) is amazing. Out of the two I think I'd choose the O2 as my favourite as it was my first and it was smaller than Wembley, although Wembley did have Led Zeppelin.. Nobody
Kent in 2003 was pretty epic. Everyone dressed in white and an absolutely terrific concert. Arctic Monkeys a couple of summers ago and Glasvegas earlier this year also springs to mind.
Kasper
Probably Flogging Molly a year ago in Milan at a pretty small club venue. I've seen them a few times at festivals on big stages and its always mental dancing and jumping. But that was something else. Was so hot that after 2 songs people started getting their shirts off on the floor. And I did some crowd surfing And I changed my mind about all Italians being twats. The ones who like good music are ok Also Foo Fighters a year ago and Bruce Springsteen this week were amazing. But not quite the same buzz.

Kaizero
Kaizers Orchestra and Hurra Torpedo. By far the two best live bands I've ever seen. Not because their songs were all that, but because of the actual stage performance and shit. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MuZwnC9rB-A

Right by the front, crazy atmosphere and an unbelievable show, wouldn't have missed it for anything. Honourable mentions go to: Sigur Rós, Arcade Fire, Anthony and the Johnsons, The Go! Team. I must admit Arcade Fire were outstanding when I saw them live. I couldn't believe that Régine could actually sing those notes live, play all of those instruments and still sound excellent at every single thing. Saw The Go! Team as well at Newcastle Uni a few years ago. They were brilliant too.
GG
I'm afraid to say I haven't seen any 'legendary' gigs. But my favourite was possibly Guillemots or maybe Vampire Weekend. But even then, they weren't necessarily due to the quality of show, just the fun I had.

gray
Best performance Ive been to was Franz Ferdinand when they were supporting Hot Hot Heat at the Uni. Saw them again after they'd "made it" and weren't as good.
div-s-
The Verve at the Carling Academy in Glasgow was immense as was the Stereophonics at the SECC. The Enemy at the Barrowlands was one of my favorite gigs ever.

The singer appeared n a geet big rubber ball, and rolled out on top of the crowd! Class! Then they released loads of smaller rubber balls that everyone was batting around throughout. Brilliant show, just a bit of a pity the acoustics in there are so bad.
Guest firetotheworks
Glassjaw in 2003 Squarepusher in 2005 Both were absolutely incredible. Similarly, Go! Team (arguably my most fun gig) were mediocre at a festival outside but awesome in a smallish SU. Forgot to mention Dizzee, saw him in a tent at Get Loaded, it was class. Mr. Snrub
Watching Justice last summer whilst rollin' balls was definitely one of the best I've ever been to. An unreal experience.
Shak
Hard to really just pick one, as far as different types of gigs go. Best big stage gig was probably Rage Against the Machine last summer. Legends the lot of them and they played as good a setlist as you could imagine. Most fun gig was James Brown, he was playing in one of the small tents at a festival at the same time as the Foo Fighters so could get right up the front and just dance and have fun for a couple of hours. Loads of really hot women, well up for a bit of craic, in the crowd too. In terms of gigs where you just go crazy jumping around the place in a small venue I'd find it hard to seperate Les Savy Fav and At The Drive-In. Honestly, was dripping with sweat after all of them. Most "intimate" gig was 'The Evens' (ft. Ian McKaye of Fugazi & Minor Threat) . They played in a grubby little studio that wouldn't be much bigger than your average living room. Capacity of the place was 60, and it was about half full. Best sound was from Roger Waters. I swear I was convinced that I was listening to a CD at one point during 'Time'. Most interesting gig was Tool in Amsterdam. Myself and four friends took what Bill Hicks once described as a "heroic dose" of Mushrooms just before entering the arena. First song went by quite without incident, then at some point during 'Stinkfist' things seemed to take a turn for the more peculiar. It's possible that alll four memebers of the band did actually raise about twenty feet off the stage and proceed to float in mid-air while performing, but most likely I was hallucinating. The following 90 minutes was spent sat staring in awe at the impossible images in front of me while being completely engrossed by the music of a band I was pretty much obsessed with. A truly amazing experience.
