Decky
I moving into a new flat this september. Its quality You'd better hope there's a laundrette nearby. and it has a washing machine. High spin, clothes horse in the hot press and bang, no need for a line or tumble drier!
mozy
Going to Nottingham Trent, really excited if I'm honest. I would say I was the most practical of people but i'm sure things will fall into place once I'm there.

Well you probably won't since I'll be at Clifton Campus doing my 1 year teaching PGCE and will be sorta cut off from the main campus, but either way.. I did my BA at Derby which is about 20 minutes away. I love the general area.

I'm staying at Clarenden Court on the main site, doing Business degree, although I'll want to take up a few sports while I'm there. Is the nightlife as good as people say? Depends what you're in to and what you're like but generally all student nights are the same with both lads and lass being up for it. As far as Nottingham goes on its own for nights out I've never had a bad one. I used to work in one of the casinos there, Alea. There's a massive range and the city is big enough for there to be a good range of stuff but everything tends to be close enough together so you're not trekking all over the place. The uni is really close to the city centre aswell.

brummie
I fucking loved it. It was over 20 years ago, but i remember it like it was yesterday. Stop worrying about being in halls the other end of the country with people you don't know. That's the whole point. Durr. Incredibly life enhacing, much more so than staying at home with mom and dad for three years, which is just an extension of sixth form.
QBG
Starting Second Year of my degree at Liverpool John Moores in September. No need to worry lads, you will love every minute of being in halls, just don't be surprised at how fast your first year goes, its flown for me. Neil
Thirded. Flown by. For those who are a bit worried, remember everyone's in the same situation, and will be totally unaware of what's gonna happen. Just go with the flow.

Allmo I wouldn't worry mate you will love it, and if it feels bit rocky at first there's always us lot in and around Newcastle.

It's natural to be nervous, but I'm saying everyone's in the same boat and some are in a much worse position: a totally different culture and language to deal with. You'd think Manchester was the dark side of the moon.
