Gifts you've bought for your squeeze.

In the next few weeks its my girlfriends' birthday and it's a bit of an awkward one, because we've been together for about 3-4 months and this is the first official occasion where I'll have to buy her a gift.. my birthday isn't until August so she's in something of a better position.

 

It's awkward because the relationship hasn't been going for that long and I've avoided meeting the family and only recently met some of her friends from back home and the whole area is a bit of a snake pit.. buy something too expensive and flash and that could send out the wrong signals, where as something fairly generic and cheap could say that that I'm not too bothered.

 

Anyway, I've bought her a health club day pass for 2 that she can enjoy with her sister or one of her mates or whatever and I'm going to get something thats personal to who she is but not necessarily expensive or of any value to anyone but her.. which I think overall is fairly safe.

 

But anyway.. what are some of the gifts that you lot have bought yours.. and at what stage of your relationship?

A teddy from the Disney shop when I was 16, had been with her for 3 weeks.

Last one on her birthday, we went to the coffee shop we went on our first date, then on the night fancy restaurant single rose champagne dress I'd bought her and because she was mad Madrid fan that adored Beckham I gave her book wrapped in a Madrid shirt with his name on the back signed. She was ecstatic, and it was money well spent.

I always take my lass on a weekend away to somewhere i want to go. Happy days for both parties. Her birthday is just the other side of xmas though so it warrants one big payout rather than two smaller ones.
