Red red wine by UB40 reminds me of Golden Sands in Caister,as does Karma Chameleon...Summer hols when i was 15!!Shagging a bird called Mitzi in the sand dunes, and her committing Bela Lugosi type bites all over my upper body,I looked like fucking Gorbachev after blocking her!

But if only you would see them, you would tell by their faces,

There were kings and queens followed by princes and princesses.

What a monumentally terrific song that is.Seal is/was magic

The album Louder Now by Taking Back Sunday is playing Metal Gear Solid 3 for me, as that's what I was listening to when I first played through it. It just makes me think of the whole 60's spy cold war thing, really nostalgic.

Kelly Clarkson - Since you been gone. First ski trip I went on with mates from uni.

Anthony and the Johnsons - Hope there's someone. Waking up with a hangover at 6am heading off to work and being utterly hypnotised.

Sigur Rós - (). Waking up to grey, damp, overcast, beautiful Nottingham mornings and getting the chance to escape in my own world en route to the library pre-revision for the first set of my finals in January last year.

Oasis - What's the story. The first summer I could drive, beautiful weather, sunroof down and great times with mates before heading off to uni.

Arcade Fire - Funeral. First year of uni. The whole of it.

The Streets - Original Pirate Material. Last summer, the first album I played having moved into my new flat. Had to pick something good, and it suited the moment, the weather and my excitement.

Bon Iver - For Emma, Forever Ago. Heading round the Bolivian Salt Flats in a jeep.

There are millions really, I haven't even paused typing with these, just off the top of my head.

Thinking about it, the strongest one must be the arcade fire/first year at uni link. I almost feel like I can smell my old room and halls listening to it, evokes incredibly powerful memories. Listened to it almost on repeat for a couple of months in my tiny room, fantastic. Also probably the best year of my life.

The entire Queen is Dead album by The Smiths kills me every time I listen, being the album I had on repeat when breaking up with the ex.

Aye, i've got one of them - that immediately springs to mind anyway. Fortunately it's only Hot Fuss by the Killers so no great loss. Bit of a bugger when Mr Brightside comes on in the clubs and whatnot though.

Also, listening to anything Maximo Park always reminds me of the train from York to Newcastle, on the way up to the game. Whenever i'm off up - i put those albums on. Cracking stuff. By The Monument. :smitten:

Ratatat - Classics. Euro's last year, doing some work for my uncle in the day then coming home to watch the football, all whilst listening to this on repeat on my iPod.

The Strokes - Is This It. 6th form.

Nas - God's son. Doing shit remixes of songs off this in college.

The Killers & Fallout boy - Back at school when I had poor taste in music, trying to chat girls up on msn, great times.

At the Drive in: Invalid Litter Dept reminds me of my English GCSE Exam, and my 6th Form Induction.

Green Day - Dookie

When I was doing GCSE Art, my older sister (who'd had the same teacher as I did) said I should take in some speakers for my portable CD player and play some tunes, as they had 4 years previously. I was into rock, metal, punk etc and the only CD I had which the whole class could agree on was Dookie. Listened to it almost solidly for 2 years. bluelaugh.gif Then couldn't listen for ages, but now it just brings back brilliant memories of dossing around and having some cracking banter, school really was the the best days of your life.

There'll be more, but that one is the first that springs to mind.
