using windows 7 now makes my Firefox load in about 3-4 seconds on cold start

used to take like over 20 seconds on xp for me, which annoyed the hell out of me when I wanted to send an email or look for somethin fast

I usually close firefox with about5-6 tabs open, it takes roughly 5 seconds to load firefox with all the tabs, windows 7 makes a huge difference compared to xp .

I've had a look at the HTTP headers for the site, and essentially, IE8 is doing it wrong.

The site says don't cache the pages, so it shouldn't. MS probably did it to make sure something loads rather than an ugly error message if there's no internet connection, or perhaps just because they simply can't do anything properly. Twats.
