cp40
Anybody good with pictures please post and discuss. Personally, I think it is a great looking building, Award worthy, but well and truly out of fking place. Its like a contemporary City Building, on the edge of Farm land, bordering residential gardens,..Totally out of place. Why the giant Duplo bricks on the Roof? Contrast with The redevelopment near by of Rake Lane farm buildings into offices, much more Apt I would have thought.
Keefaz
Run past it on my jog. Looks fucking ridiculous, but the area's been crying out for a new, modern school.

Previously lived in the less delightful warzone known as Valehead (for anyone who knows the place).

Dokko
The lego bits are apparently solar panels and air con colour coded for sections of the building. Have no idea how true that is mind.

Crumpy Gunt
The lego bits are apparently solar panels and air con colour coded for sections of the building. Have no idea how true that is mind. Lad I teach from the 6th form tells me (true or not I don't have a clue) that the coloured blocks as you describe but colour coded in microsofts colours as they may have had some sort of input into design and or the cost of building. Can't vouch for that containing a grain of truth though.

When you consider its the only council estate in the whole Monkseaton and Whitley Bay area I think that its a valid statement! For the record, I have lived there.
