indi
Anyone done it? I know it'd be carnage, and probably look awful on TV, but I'd love to see them have an F1 race around there. That is what you're talking about, right?
Dave
I'm talking about some laps in your own car during the public sessions, wondered if anyone had done it.
toonpete1892
A couple of my mates did it a few years ago in a Saxo and proper loved it. So much so they were planning to go back (in a slightly better motor) earlier this year.

Yeah, I knew that's specifically what you were asking, but I was just asking if you were talking about the full Nurbugring track, it was a kinda stupid rhetorical question really because I knew that's what you were talking about, it was just meant to be a silly reference to the previous posts. Was a very lame joke, well wasn't even really a joke, anyway....
Guest lankybellwipe
Who was that blonde bird on top gear that did the ring in a ford transit marginally slower than cockend clarkson who was driving a proper mawtah?

Minhosa
A guy I know does it every year. Works out pretty expensive though (he does it for two days) as he gets the car tuned up etc before he drives over there and then has to replace the tyres when he gets back. He drives a Z4 coupe. He's a car geek and is part of the BMW owners club and they get discount for training days etc over there.
Dave
Yeah, the cost is quite something. I'd want to do 15 laps, so it'd work out about £500-600 for the weekend apparently. Plus my tyres are £150 each.
LoveItIfWeBeatU
My brothers done it on his motorbike. His friend has done it in a Honda S2000. When he checked his tyres afterwards they were bald! Whatever you do don't crash (which people often do). You have to pay for any damage you do to the track (i.e. barriers and the like) and you have to pay for recovery of your vehicle. They charge a lot of damage and recovery! Learn the track on 'Forza Motorsport' or 'Gran Turismo' before you go. At least that way you'll know what's coming up. S.S.R.
Yes, in an Aldi shopping trolley with a saucepan as a crash helmet. Was absolutely bricking it.

Sabine is amazing. And Clarkson's not a cockend.
