All though I understand, if thats the worst time of your life you've had a very lucky life. I've had far worse and it's quite annoying when people say things like that about a job, if you're talented you will find another easily. If I lost my job I'd be upset but I've had far worse things to deal with.

Sorry, didn't mean to sound like a t***, it's just this has been the worst year of my life easlily and I get pissed when other people complain about what I consider smaller things. Thinking now, losing a job is a massive thing but in this last year I've realised I don't gve a s*** about work, but like you I could find a job easily and maybe thats why I think like that. You do seem quite lucky in your life, I hope it stays the same for you.

Ronaldo
Absolutely destroying beyond repair my (not comprehensively insured) car which i'd bought 4 months previously for £5k, losing my licence for 15 months, gaining a criminal record and finding out i'd failed my year at uni - in the space of about 6 weeks was a low point for me. Keep your chin up mate, it's bad times that makes you what you are, not the years of comfort. Looking back, that period may just have been the best thing ever to happen to me, less than 2 years later i'm a different person with a masters degree hopefully in the bank, a 100% pay increase imminent and a family on the way soon if everything goes to plan. LucaAltieri
I used to go to a catholic boarding school. Now I know what you're thinking, but nothing happened. Our priest was cool. Never touched me, never looked at me twice... ....no matter what I did. In many ways that hurts more.
Adam
I duno what the salary difference would be from current to new job, but you will get some sort of redundancy payment surely. So in theory you could end up with way more money than you would have if you had kept your job. Just don't blow it all on a new car
