relámpago blanco
I was just thinking this, it's odd how potato salad is classed as a salad. How can cooked potato and mayonaise be a salad? What about that italian bread salad, thats just bread and tomato, makes no sense. Is anything cold classed as a salad?

Guest diddimz
There is an internation committee that holds meetings and discussions where people put forwards an application for something to be classed as a salad, if it receives enough Votes, it is then a Salad. relámpago blanco
When something is comprised of mostly leaves. What about potato salad? According the wiki as well it comes from the word salt, most salads don't have a great deal of salt in them.

relámpago blanco
This could be one of the greatest questions of the modern age. Would love someone to ask it at Question Time on Thursday It's an odd one because you can pretty much call anything a salad now. I saw a roast vegetable salad on the telly the other day and I said to my lass "That's not a fucking salad, its a roast dinner without meat or gravy." relámpago blanco
Stop trying to destroy this thread, I want to know, what makes something a salad. If you can have a warm chicken salad with a sauce and a roast vegetable salad, is a roast chicken dinner in fact a salad?
