That? Forever.

That pisses me off. Dave, can you please list other useful aspects of the forum I definitely won't know about?

Some people don't even know about clicking on the 'new' button.

Did you know that clicking on the NUFC shirt shows you all your recent unread threads in that board? Likewise clicking the question mark next to an entire forum.

I don't know if this works for everyone, but admin can double-click thread titles (from the index) to edit them without having to go into it at all. Might work on your own thread, give it a try.

http://www.newcastle-online.org/nufcforum/Themes/SlickPro_Graphite/images/icons/last_post.gif takes you to the very last post of a thread, ignoring where you are up to.

Dead useful that one.

Epic fail, James.

Useful for Firefox users:

Open up a new tab and type 'about:config' in the address bar. Go through the warning screen, and in the filter bar type 'ui.key.contentAccess' and press enter. Double-click the item and change the value from 5 to 4.

This makes Alt+S a shortcut to post. Much faster than clicking.

I didn't know any of those things. Which 'new' button?

Where's that?

edit: (with the quick edit button) is it only on the index page? Knew I'd seen it before.

On the other hand, I did already know that James was a mong.

Yeah, the 'last post' button is only on the index. There are 'go up' and 'go down' links on the left within a thread though to let you quickly go from top to bottom of a page though.

Nope, didn't know either of those

This is a revelation. Sadly, this new information is forcing essential PIN numbers and passwords from my brain.

So to find new info on threads that have grown by pages since you last looked (like the takeover thread, for example), you were literally guessing at where you were? Holy shit.
